Himachal Pradesh Monsoon: Death Toll Rises to 109 Amidst Ongoing Disruption

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh – The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has confirmed that the ongoing monsoon season, from June 20 to July 16, 2025, has tragically resulted in 109 deaths across the state. This significant human toll underscores the severity of this year’s monsoon.

Of the total fatalities, 64 people lost their lives in various rain-related incidents, including landslides, flash floods, cloudbursts, electrocution, snake bites, and falls from steep slopes. The districts of Mandi and Kangra were the hardest hit, each reporting 16 rain-linked deaths, followed by Hamirpur (8), Kullu (4), and Chamba (3).
