Eight homes were destroyed in a major fire that tore through a residential area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district early Tuesday morning. The blaze erupted around 3 am in Boat Colony Khanabal, quickly engulfing seven single-story houses and one double-story structure, leaving behind extensive damage.
Firefighters battled the flames for hours, deploying eight tenders from various stations across the district. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
