In a swift operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled a smuggling attempt near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Ferozepur district. Acting on intelligence about drone movement during the night of January 18-19, BSF troops launched a search operation on Friday.
Their vigilance paid off when they discovered a packet wrapped in a white gunnysack hidden in a field. Upon inspection, the packet was found to contain a deadly AK-47 assault rifle, two magazines, 40 cartridges, and a suspicious sum of Rs 40,000 in cash.
