DIG Sujit Singh chaired a high-level meeting to review cases under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in Srinagar today.
The meeting was attended by Rakesh Balwal, SSP Srinagar, Gaurav Sirwarkar, SP South, Shree Ram, SP East, Sajad Bhat, SO to DIG, Raja Zuhaib, SP North, Mashkoor Ahmad, SP Hazratbal, Amit Verma, SP West, and the Incharge of the Pairvi Cell of the Central Kashmir Range.
The DIG took stock of the progress of the cases registered under these Acts and gave on-the-spot directions to ensure the quality of the investigations and the rigorous following of the cases at the trial level. He also stressed on the close coordination between investigating officers, the Prosecution Department, and witnesses, as well as the use of technological advancements to ensure effective investigations and trials.
