The Jammu-Srinagar National highway remained closed for traffic for the second consecutive day on Friday, officials said.
A Traffic Police official said, “No vehicular movement shall be allowed on Jammu-Srinagar NHW due to road damaged at Kishtwari Pather, Sherbibi, shooting stones/mudslides at several places on NH-44.”
He said that restoration work is going on at Kishtwari Pather, Sherbibi, Magerkote, Mehad-Cafeteria and Dalwas also road is slippery at a number of places on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.
“People are advised to avoid journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW till the road is clear”, he said.
Meanwhile, Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road and Mughal road is still blocked due to snow accumulation
