A two-kilogram Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by suspected terrorists was found and defused by security forces in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, narrowly preventing a possible terror attack. The discovery was made by a joint patrol team of the Army and Police along the Kishtwar-Batote national highway.
Upon noticing the suspicious device, the authorities immediately halted traffic and summoned a bomb disposal squad. The team successfully defused the explosive, averting a potentially devastating incident. A case has been registered, and a search operation is underway to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for planting the IED.
