BSF Foils Drone Delivery, Seizes Contraband in Amritsar

In a display of unwavering vigilance, Border Security Force (BSF) troops foiled a drone-based narcotics smuggling attempt near village Mode in Amritsar on Tuesday, successfully intercepting the drone and recovering a small plastic container of contraband weighing 565 grams.

Acting upon specific intelligence regarding a drone’s presence, BSF troops sprang into action on the intervening night of November 20 and 21. As the suspected drone approached, the BSF personnel swiftly intercepted it and heard a distinct dropping sound near village Mode.

Adhering to the laid-down protocols, BSF troops promptly launched a thorough search operation in the surrounding area. Their meticulous efforts yielded a significant breakthrough: a small plastic container of contraband, suspected to be heroin, weighing 565 grams and wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, was recovered from a farming field near village Mode.

This commendable operation by the BSF effectively thwarted yet another attempt to smuggle narcotics into India via drone, highlighting their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders and combating illicit activities.
