Manoj Sinha pitches Jammu and Kashmir as an investment destination

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha invited industry players to invest in the Union Territory, highlighting its favorable business environment and attractive incentives. He emphasized the region’s secure and supportive atmosphere for businesses.

Sinha pointed out that the industry department has received business proposals worth over Rs 86,000 crore and is actively working to bring them to fruition. Additionally, he announced the UAE-based Emaar Group’s plans to develop a shopping mall and an IT tower in Srinagar.

Sinha encouraged potential investors to explore the vast opportunities across various sectors in Jammu and Kashmir, assuring them of better incentives compared to other states. These incentives include affordable electricity tariffs, capital investment subsidies, and interest subventions.

He further shared the positive developments in the tourism sector, with an expected increase in tourist arrivals to over 2.25 crore this year, surpassing last year’s figure of 1.88 crore. Sinha attributed this growth to the improved connectivity through increased train and flight services.

Sinha concluded by reiterating the immense potential and opportunities that Jammu and Kashmir offers to businesses and investors.
