Baramulla Police Busts Terrorist Recruitment Module, Arrests 3 LeT Associates

he Baramulla Police in Jammu and Kashmir has busted a terrorist recruitment module and arrested three associates of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit. The arrested accused have been identified as Lateef Ahmad Dar, Showkat Ahmad Lone, and Ishrat Rasool, all residents of the Kreeri area of Baramulla district.

The police said that the three accused were working as terrorist associates for the LeT and were planning to recruit four youths in the area. They were also in touch with two active LeT terrorists, Umar Lone and FT Usman.

The police recovered three hand grenades and 30 AK-47 live rounds from the possession of the accused. A case has been registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Arms Act in the Kreeri police station.

The police said that the operation was a major success in disrupting the terrorist recruitment activities in the area. They also appealed to the people to come forward with any information about terrorist activities in their area.

The arrest of these three LeT associates is a major blow to the terrorist outfit’s plans to recruit more youth in the Kashmir Valley. It is also a sign that the security forces are working proactively to prevent terrorist activities in the region.
