Mehbooba Mufti, the president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reconsider the government’s decision to remove additional duties on apples, walnuts, and almonds imported from the United States. She said that this decision would have a devastating effect on the horticulture industry in Jammu and Kashmir, which is already struggling due to the losses incurred in the aftermath of the 2019 abrogation of Article 370.
