Jammu – Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhry issued a strong statement on Friday, indicating that the current administration is meticulously reviewing sensitive files from previous governments and cautioned that their present silence should not be mistaken for weakness.
“We’ve been scrutinizing files for the past eight to nine months,” Choudhry stated. “If any wrongdoing is uncovered, we will present it to the public. Our silence isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s an effort to maintain strong relations with Delhi. However, if circumstances demand it, we will speak out, backed by facts.”
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the government’s steadfast commitment to transparency, particularly concerning electoral processes. “We have always prioritized transparency,” he affirmed. “Any errors found in voter lists will be rectified. Elections are ultimately decided by the people, not by the lists themselves.”
