The Jammu and Kashmir government is developing 300 new tourist destinations to attract more domestic and foreign tourists. These destinations will offer a variety of activities, festivals, natural scenery, shopping, and homestays in picturesque villages.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha made the announcement during the inauguration of the Bangus Adventure Festival in Kupwara district. He said that Jammu and Kashmir has many offbeat destinations that are perfect for travelers looking for leisurely adventures and enchanting experiences.
The Bangus Adventure Festival aims to promote the rural and adventure tourism potential of the Bangus valley. It will also showcase the tribal culture of the region and provide a platform for local artisans to sell their traditional arts and crafts.
Sinha said that the tourism industry in Jammu and Kashmir has been completely transformed and that the region is now one of the most promising tourist destinations in India. He added that the tourism sector will soon become an engine of growth for the union territory.
The government’s goal is to attract a larger share of tourists and provide them with a lifetime experience. This will be done by developing new tourist destinations, promoting the region’s unique culture and heritage, and improving the overall tourism infrastructure.
