Samba, July 24, 2025 – Samba Police have arrested a drug peddler and seized 10 grams of heroin (“chitta”), ₹1.04 lakhs in cash, and a weighing machine. The arrest was made by a Police Station Vijaypur team during a naka checking (checkpoint) at Sangwal Vijaypur.
The individual, identified as Mukesh Kumar, son of Nek Ram, a resident of village Ranjari Vijaypur, was intercepted due to suspicious behavior. A search revealed the contraband, cash, and weighing machine.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 75/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Vijaypur, and investigations are underway. This arrest is part of the Samba Police’s ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
