Due to severe weather conditions and heavy rainfall impacting the Yatra routes, the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra convoy will not depart from Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, on July 31st, 2025. This decision has been made as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of pilgrims.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, stated, “Due to the heavy rains in the Yatra area, the movement of pilgrims from Base camps has been affected. Therefore, it has been decided that no convoy movement shall be allowed towards the base camps Baltal and Nunwan from Bhagwati Nagar Jammu on 31st July, 2025. Pilgrims shall be kept informed about the situation in due course of time.”
So far this year, over 3.935 lakh pilgrims have visited the Holy Cave Shrine during the Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
