“The Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, has announced the appointment of Justice Sanjeev Kumar as the acting Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, effective April 10, 2025. This appointment, made under Article 223 of the Indian Constitution, follows the retirement of Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan on April 9, 2025. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, currently a judge of the High Court, will assume the acting Chief Justice role.”
