On Wednesday, law enforcement seized approximately 0.175 acres (7 marlas) of land belonging to two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives, Bilal Ahmad Mir and Mohammad Umar Mir, both residents of Brath Kalan, Sopore. The seizure is linked to two ongoing investigations: Case FIR No. 202/2022, under the Arms Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and Case FIR No. 251/2022, involving the Explosive Substances Act, Arms Act, and UAPA. The action, executed by Sopore Police and revenue officials, followed approvals under Sections 82 and 83 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). This measure aims to disrupt subversive activities and reinforce national security within the region.
