Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today unveiled the teaser and brochure for the upcoming Basohli Utsav 2025, a five-day festival set to begin on September 28, 2025, in the Kathua border district. This year’s event, the third edition of the utsav, will prominently feature the traditions of the Ramayana.
Basohli, a picturesque mountainous town in Kathua, is renowned for its eponymous art form, rich culture, and significant pilgrimage sites, including the Chanchlo Mata, Jhode Wali Mata, and Dhola Mata temples.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha extended his best wishes to the administration, Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA), Vishwasthali organization, and other stakeholders for their collaborative efforts in celebrating Basohli’s unique creative traditions and historical heritage.
