Second Civil Defence Mock Drill ‘Operation Shield’ on May 31

The second “Operation Shield” civil defence mock drill, originally set for May 29, has been rescheduled and will now take place on May 31.

Organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, this exercise will assess preparedness for potential enemy attacks, including mock air raids, drone threats, and evacuation procedures. The drill will be conducted across all western States and Union Territories that share a border with Pakistan, such as Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.

“Operation Shield” is scheduled to begin at 5 PM and will involve Civil Defence volunteers, local authorities, and youth organizations like the NCC and NSS.
