In a joint operation launched by the Indian Army and J&K Police, alert troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Macchal Sector, Kupwara, foiled an infiltration bid on Wednesday morning.
Two terrorists were killed in the ensuing gun battle, and four AK rifles and six hand grenades were recovered from the scene. The operation is still in progress.
