Pakistani Intruder Shot Dead by BSF in Punjab

A Pakistani intruder was shot dead by Border Security Force (BSF) troops along the international border in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district on Friday morning.

The troops noticed suspicious movement by a person near Thekalan village and challenged him. However, the intruder did not stop and continued moving ahead. Sensing a threat, the BSF personnel opened fire, killing the man on the spot.

The deceased has not been identified yet. The BSF has launched an investigation into the matter.

This is the second such incident in the past two weeks. On July 27, a Pakistani intruder was shot dead by BSF troops in the same district.

The increased number of intrusions from Pakistan has raised concerns about security along the border. The BSF has stepped up patrolling and surveillance in the area.

The government has also asked the Pakistan government to take steps to prevent such incidents.
